1967 911 Factory Race Car

Original 9552 Rally Kit Racing 911 with period race history and a continuous, known ownership history from new. I originally purchased this true 34,000 original mile time capsule from the original owner in 2003 after being parked for over 30 years. The car was found in 100% original as raced condition including the original matching numbers engine and gear box, unheard of in a race car, and all original body and paint just as it rolled off of the race track back in the day. The car was originally purchased by Hans Neiderer who raced the 911 from new till 1973 in the Northeast and even winning the IMSA New York State Drivers Championship. The trophy stays with the car.

The 911 was then restored by Klub Sport Racing from the tub up to a very high standard to be used as a special event 911 which has included multiple entries in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion where the past owner would drive the car to the event, switch tires, muffler, remove the license plate and go. The original engine was removed, inspected and boxed. A separate 906 twin plug specification engine was built to duplicate the race engine that Hans had purchased from Vasek Polack on an aluminum case using real 906 Parts including: pistons, twin plug cylinder heads center lube cams, four bearing cam stands, intake manifolds, 46 Webers, R light flywheel and carburetor rain tables. The gearbox was rebuilt using A/F/M/S/X gearing. The car now runs original magnesium American Racing Wheels and also includes the original period raced Mini Lites. The restoration has held up perfectly with very minor wear. The odometer now shows just 36,000 original miles.

Documentation includes a thick binder containing the original window sticker, Kardex, Vasek engine paperwork, period as well as more modern racing images, period articles and clippings, race results, recent FIA certificate ect. This is a rare chance to buy one of the very few surviving Short Wheelbase Factory Race Cars. There are less than 15 of these 67-68 911s that exist today and less than 5 with the original matching drive train.
